Yeah, I am a day late. I know already. My frustrations with Blogger yesterday contributed to this mani being posted today. I hadn't done my cleanup yet when I took these pictures...Also, My pointer finger got jacked up because half the polish came off when I removed the tape. So, this mani looks way better now and my right hand actually turned out better. lol.
I used OPI Play the Peonies, Feelin' Hot Hot Hot!, and Your Royal Shine-ness.

Pink Wednesday - My Address is 'Hollywood'
My first Pink Wednesday incarnation was a light to dark pink sponge gradient. Well, NOTHING about it worked. I used Sinful Colors 'Easy Going' for the base and please for the love of all things good in this world, never let me use that polish again. The application was horrible and the formula sucks. If anyone is good at working with horrible polishes, this one is for you! Then, the next color I had picked out wasn't really dark enough and my sponging didn't turn out so hot because I didn't wait long enough for it to get tacky. Not to mention the cranky two year old that wouldn't leave me alone. So, once that turned out straight awful, I tried to put black crackle over it. Another bad idea. I don't know if because the polish wasn't completely dry, it didn't crackle right or what, but it was like a big black blob that pulled away from the edges of my nails.
I took all that off and just went with OPI's My Address is 'Hollywood' because it was late and I was tired. I was so happy with this decision. I haven't worn this color since I got the Touring Collection, and I have no idea why. It is simply gorgeous! A medium dusty pink with pink shimmer. Application was a dream and the color was extremely flattering on me. Only two coats for full opaqueness, but if I wasn't so tired, I would have put on three.
Take a look at the pinky goodness...
The color is darker in person than what is showing on the pics...and, it's a glum day out, so it was near impossible to capture the shimmer. I'm sure there are a bunch more swatches out there if you are interested in Googling it! :)
Thanks for reading!

Very late Pink Wednesday
My pink Wednesday is super late tonight. I did my nails & pics earlier, but I am going out of town this weekend so I have been busy running around and getting everything ready, so I didn't get a chance to post til now.
I used OPI's Feelin' Hot-Hot-Hot! for the base (very pretty bright pink creme) and Alpine Snow for the dots. This was my first time using a dotting tool, and I really liked it. I felt like I could actually do nail art for once. lol.
I am heading to a football game this weekend and I have an idea of how to do my nails as long as I can find the right colors of polish and everything.

Pink Wednesday
For my first pink Wednesday, I went with Sinful Colors 'Soul Mate'. I originally thought this was from that Adventure Island Collection, the way it was kinda muted and murky, but turns out it's from the Valentines 2011 collection. Who knew?
At any rate...I didn't like it. Let me explain, I love the color...if I could find an OPI dupe for this, I would get it in a heart beat. I hated the application. The formula on this one, for me, was a miss. It was fairly easy to control and I didn't have too much pooling, but it did bubble alot. I think it was the thick consistency plus the long, skinny brush that didn't sit well with me. I like a thicker brush so I don't have to take so many strokes, especially on a heavy polish that gets tacky very quickly.
This is two coats and a top coat, although, it was opaque after just one coat. You can click on the pics for larger versions.
Also, if you didn't notice I decided to switch my nail shape to a square tip instead of rounded. I think there are more designs that look better on a square tip. But, to get rid of the roundness without growing my nails super long, I had to cut them pretty short. I guess they will start looking better as they grow out. And as I get better at cleaning up the cuticles because boy they look awful in pictures! lol.
Check out On Wednesday's We Wear Pink to get in on the pink Wednesday fun! :)
Does anyone know a decent dupe for Soul Mate? Anything pink, muted, and murky but without the purpleness that Sparrow Me The Drama seems to have?
