Nail Mail & NOTD Crackle

Today I recieved my Barielle order of Positive Zen-ergy ("A warm, mossy green with silver shimmer") and Welcome OHM ("Warm creme plum").

Well, I started painting my nails with Welcome OHM. As soon as I started, I knew it was going to be all bad. The lighting in the room was bad, so I ended up with an uneven first coat. Then, my daughter had an 'accident' (we are potty training), so in taking care of that, I smudged and chipped my polish all up. I figured it was the perfect opportunity to use my new crackle's as well! :)

I freaking love it! lol. I used Max 2012's black crackle called Eternity. I have never used a shatter or crackle polish before, so I had no idea what to expect. It smelled awful and dried super fast. Most my nails got really good cracks, though. My left hand index finger didn't crack so well, but I was still getting the hang of how to apply it quickly because it dries so quick that if you miss a spot and try to go back over it, it kinda messes the whole thing all up. My thumbs cracked really well and my pinkies both kind of did just one big crack down the middle.

I love how the crackle dried matte in contrast to the shiny finish of the purple. I wish my pictures could have captured that better. I don't want to put a top coat on and ruin that look. Definitely am going to look into getting some matte polishes after this. Also, I love the black and purple together. It reminds me of Halloween!

NOTD Barielle - Do Unto Others

I was going to do swatches of my two new Barielle's today, but once I got the first one on, I realized how much I loved it so just decided to do a NOTD with it. I have to say that the formula and application was a dream. I mean, seriously. The most wonderful polish I have ever worked with. One layer was all I needed for full opaque-ness, but I went with two just because I felt wrong only doing one coat. lol. It's quick drying and even if you pull some while putting on your second coat, it just dries so smooth and shiny. It's just great. Really. If any of you haven't tried Barielle polish yet, I think you should! They just had a sale and I got two more bottles for just $6!! Keep an eye out on FB or on the blogs to see when the next big sale is and grab a couple bottles. I got Positive Zen-ergy and Welcome OHM coming next week. I am going to get U Concrete Me the next sale they have and probably some other grey or brown fall color.

Anyways, here are my pics of Do Unto Others. It's a gorgeous teal color, but more towards the blue side than green. I went to pick up my daughter today and as soon as my fiance's sister saw my nails, she oohed and aahed over my polish. lol. Maybe when I get UCM, I will get a bottle of this for her, too.

I am still having a hard time capturing 'shine' in my pictures, but I am trying to get the hang of it. This polish is super shiny, though. Even before the top coat!

I also got my OPI Touring Collection today! Squee! This is the first entire collection I have ever owned, so I am so excited about it. lol. Swatches of those will be coming up soon, as well. :)

Nail Mail: Barielle

I got my two Barielle polishes yesterday. Gotta Have Fate, which is a orange-y coral shade. I asked my boyfriend if it looked more pink or orange to him and I think I boggled his mind. He said it was red. lol.

I also got Do Unto Others, a blue/teal color.

Haven't had time to swatch these, yet, but I will today or tomorrow.

I'm also anxiously awaiting my Touring Collection to arrive. That will probably be today or tomorrow as well. I'm so excited. lol.

Barielle nail polish deal!

Barielle is having a sale where all their nail polishes are BOGO 50% off. There is also 20% off your total purchase, no minimum requirement (through tomorrow the 7th). On top of that, use the promo code fbflash30 (not sure when that expires) for an additional 30% off each item.

Their nail polish is usually $8 a bottle, but I got two bottles (Do Unto Others and Gotta Have Fate) for just under $12! That was including shipping...before shipping it was around $7.

I can't wait to get these polishes!! :)
